Instructions:
-On player B's shot at goal, The right winger will use this as an indication to make their run down the wing to the desired cone, where a cross will be made, [The winger will try to be slightly ahead of player A & B, Which will allow both players to attack the ball, whilst in their full flow of movement.]
-Again once player B as shot at goal, Both player A & B will make a run into the area, Looking to connect with the cross from the right winger.
-Both player A & B will cross their runs, player A will attack just off the penalty spot, Player B will attack the near post as illustrated.
Observational Tips:
-Asking both players to cross pathways with their run will, Give the goalkeeper more to observe, where the keepers attention will be trying to watch not only both player A & B but also the winger.

Instructions:
-The right winger will cross the ball, close to where the coach as set the cone for crosses to be made, [In the illustration shown the cross is to player B on the near post, Who connects with a header at goal].
Observational Tips:
-Crosses can be alternated between players A & B, For example player B can make their run to the near post,, But the winger choses to cross the ball to player A, In this circumstance player B will be acting as a decoy to the keeper, allowing player A to reach the cross.
-After each attack, On returning to their start place, Both player A & B will swap roles and cones
[so player A becomes player B and vice versa].
-The practice starts by using the wingers on the right wing, Once all three have had a turn, play switches to the left side, Each of the left wing will get a turn before repeating the practice or progressing it.
-Rotate wingers with players on cones A & B so all players experience every role in the excercise.
Progressions:
-To progress the exercise, Rotate play from one side to another after each attack, So instead of doing three attacks using the right wing, play one attack right wing the next left wing, This will add a much greater focus on players awareness, Movement and require each player to adapt to the play.
Progression Two:
-Another progression is when using a right winger, allow the left winger to join the attack, entering the area at the back post where they can add to the threat of goal, This also helps retain possession and a goal threat when crosses by-pass both player A & B. alternate with bot right/left wingers.
Coaching Points:
-All players are required to keep their heads up to improve awareness
-Have players focus on each individual element involved in the excercise, if shooting focus on scoring, If crossing, Find the player on your team.
-Good movement, Timing of runs is crucial in this excercise.
-GK as to command the area, Preventing as many attacks as possible whilst also adapting to the different sides of play.
-Focus those on the wing to alternate crosses, high/low and also use both players A & B
-Communication between players is also very beneficial to this exercise.
